To provide a space where engaged, passionate and experienced software developers can meet to host round-table discussions on cross-cutting concerns directly related to the field of software engineering.

To deepen the collective knowledge and expertise of software engineering, reinforcing Charlottesville as a regional technology hub.


Our events alternate between topic focused presentations and informal discussions hosted at various locations around charlottesville. For topic focused events a topic is set in advance with group input. The group leadership coordinates for subject matter experts to attend and selects a discussion leader to frame the issue with a 5-15 minute to provide structure and focus for the resulting conversation.

Dinner is included via sponsorship.


Attendance ranges between 20 and 30 professional developers from Charlottesville and the surrounding area. These are senior developers that are highly passionate about their craft and are comfortable with fast moving, challenging and stimulating conversations. Their expertise ranges from C++, Java, .Net, Ruby, Python through to embedded systems programing and functional languages such as Clojure, Scala, Erlang and F#.
